COME AND TOUR
HISTORIC RIPLEY, OHIO
The Village of Ripley sits on the beautiful Ohio River 50 miles southeast of Cincinnati. Whatever your pleasure, be it boating, camping, shopping, dining or experiencing our rich abolitionist history, Ripley welcomes you.
Ripley has a proud and rich history. The community and its citizens participated in the Underground Railroad in the 19th century, helping thousands of slaves attain their freedom. Visitors can see where those desperate for freedom emerged from the Ohio River and the historic homes of Revered John Rankin, John Parker and others who helped them begin their new lives.
Ripley offers boat launching ramps, four campgrounds, antique and craft shops, festivals, restaurants, wineries, museums, a bed and breakfast, a vacation rental house and many other sites to enjoy.
