Ripley River Village Christmas weekend events:

 Dec. 10 – Friday

 5:30 pm- The weekend starts with the Ripley Library Christmas tree lighting. The Light Up Ripley Decorating Contest winners will be announced. Friends of the Library book sale with music by The Banks of the Ohio String Band starts after the tree lighting.  Southern Hills Bank is decorating their tree with the RULH 1st and 2nd graders and will have snacks and treats all day long.  Come and enjoy the beautiful tree and cozy fire!  Stuff the Cruiser will be near the Ripley Library annex Friday and Saturday.  You can donate a toy for a needy Ripley kid and  wrap the toy at the wrapping station in the library annex during the Friends of the Library book sale.

 Dec. 11 – Saturday

 9:00 am- Baby Show and Little Miss Contest Win trophies, medals, Little Miss gets a sash and tiara!  FUN! Contact Amy Klump 513-646-6130 for details.

 9:00 am-  SANTA! will be at the First State Bank from 9am to 12pm for pictures and refreshments. Watch for the happy carolers around town!

 9:00 am- Crafters show at the Ripley Nazarene Church hall.  See local crafts, candles, woodworking, home baked goods, merchants and more.  Get your baked goods and lunch at the Naz Café.

 The Friends book sale will continue Saturday at the library annex.  Get a bag of books for a donation.   Stop by the Ripley Museum to see the Angel Tree and special Holiday exhibits.

 9:00 am- Merchants start opening for shopping.  River Valley Antique Mall, Judith’s Antique Attic, 2nd Street Mercantile, Barn Chicks, Ripley Florist Christmas shop and other Shops for treats and specials, and Bristow’s. See the decorations at the Olde Piano Factory. FREE Treats around town include Donuts and Hot Chocolate at the Peoples Bank and Cookies and Juice at First  State Bank. Southern Hills Community Bank will have music and treats Saturday morning and feature a beautiful tree. Don’t forget shopping the east side of town at Barn Chicks Boutique, the Ripley Flea Market, Subway, Dairy Yum Yum and more.

 6:00 pm- The Forest of Lights at the John Parker House park is a must see along Front St. and hundreds of luminaries will be lighting up Rt. 52 as you drive through town.

 7:00 pm- Free Community Concert is Saturday evening in the sanctuary of Ripley 1st Presbyterian Church. Monti Mallow conducting with the River Village Community Choir.  There will be soloists, the Community Choir, local school participation, and beautiful holiday organ music. Reception will follow the concert downstairs in the Church’s Tyler Fellowship Hall.  Luminaries set out on 2nd Street in Ripley will light your way home!

 Dec. 12 – Sunday

 Services at our local churches and  merchants are open for shopping!

 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Ohio Valley Manor is hosting live Reindeer    

 SANTA! will also be at the Ripley Community Building Sunday afternoon to hand out the presents donated during the Stuff the Cruiser event.  Come and enjoy the FUN.


The village water department recommends that homeowners flush their hot water heaters annually to rid the tank and heating elements of calcium deposits which may cause premature hot water tank failure.  Calcium is a naturally occurring mineral that is found in groundwater.
